DIY – Glitter Mason Jars

Hello beautiful people, today I am beginning a new section in My Vogue Style. Now it will not only be a fashion and lifestyle blog but there will be DIY also, isn’t that fun? I am very excited because it will be an excuse to make things on my own which I love. When I was younger I would always my crafts and pretty things for my house, my mom had to used them and ruin her perfect home aesthetic, sorry mom! Lets get started.

Things you will need:

  • Tape (depending on designs that you want to make)

  • Glue

  • Glitter of the color that you wish

  • Mason jar(s)

  • Paint brush

Process:

First: take the cap off the jar to make the process easier. This will let you handle the jar better and it will be more comfortable.

Second: get prepared to start applying the glue. For my jar I decided to start with small and big dots, what I did was to make a lot of dots using the brush and then added the glitter but it did not stick since the glue dried very fast. My suggesting is that for every dot that you make add glitter, this might sound like it takes a long time but believe me it doesn’t.

Third: after you have continued to do step 2 it should look like above. Now to take off the glitter to continue with the rest of the day I would suggest you to shake the jar against your table like this ->

Fourth: after you shake the glitter off, do not try to rub it away because the glue might seem dry on the top but it won’t. Leave it to completely dry for about an hour and then you can rub the glitter away!

Now you might ask yourself then why do we need the tape? Well I found another mason jar and decided to make stripes on this one and in order to have them straight I used tape.

This is the finish look of the mason jars, on the first one I thought a candle looked fabulous but you can also put other things. The second one stores my chia that I use in my water for health reasons. I hope you liked it and that your room looks prettier with these super cute mason jars!

It is very easy, you should try it one day!

  • These are cute! Perfect for tea lights (or even string lights!) My boyfriend would kill me for using glitter though… because it would inevitably get all over the house… between me being rather messy and the fact that it’s glitter I’d be seeing it for months!
